A long time ago watched a show on Spencer Tunick. I've seen some of his work before but I never knew his real motivation until seeing the show. I didn't know whether he was an "artist" or just someone hiding behind a profession that exists to feed some secret fetish. It was like when I was a kid and read a book about the psychic powers of plants. In the book the man said when he injured himself the EEG hooked up to the plant would spike. You make some interesting points, especially about the physically disabled. It would be something wonderful to see all of them as God made them, or did not in fact, under Mr Tunick's artist's eye. I have never understood discrimination or abuse of the disabled. Perhaps some people are just cruel.

As for appearing in one of Mr Tunick's scenes myself, I admire those who do it but I have no vision of a future in which I participate. I am no blushing flower nor model for a Michelangelo. :-)

Tunick has some interesting work, for sure. I agree, some "art" I see which involves nude models could be a mask for the artist's own kicks. I happen to think Spencer Tunick's series are thought provoking. I'm not sure I'd appear in one of his works if asked; maybe as part of a crowd so I could hide more, but still not sure. :)
